Support Higher Standards For Clean Water



Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection is proposing enacting new effluent standards for new sources of wastewaters containing high Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) concentrations. These standards would apply to the dumping of fracking fluids into our waterways. See http://pabulletin.com/secure/

data/vol39/39-45/2065.html. The comment period goes through Feb 12th. Hundreds of comments are needed in order to convince DEP to strengthen their regulations. The gas industry representatives are working hard to insure DEP does NOT strengthen its regulations. They are even lobbying to weaken existing regs.
